Kristen Devaney is a collaborative lawyer and mediator committed to helping families as they navigate the overwhelming transition involved in restructuring a family.
During her decade of experience as a divorce litigator, she witnessed first-hand the negative impact that the court process can have on families in resolving their tumultuous and emotionally complex family-related conflicts within the boundaries of the impassive law. She developed enormous pride in bringing contested matrimonial matters to resolution and as her career progressed, she became a strong believer in obtaining favorable and creative solutions to resolve the terms of a divorce rather than engaging in expensive and protracted litigation. She sought a process that prioritizes sensitivity and sensibility during the transition that occurs during a divorce and in that pursuit, she joined Berner Law & Mediation Group, which promotes personalized and creative resolutions to family conflict while preserving relationships.
Kristen received her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College. She spent two years working as a paralegal at a top New York City law firm and then attended Catholic University Columbus School of Law. While in law school, Kristen served as an editor for the Law Review and worked as a Research Assistant for a professor specializing in criminal law and families. After graduating law school, she settled on Long Island where she currently lives with her husband and four spirited boys.
Kristen truly believes that engaging in the route of collaborative and /or mediated solutions is the only context in which family issues can be decided while maintaining controlled, dignified, and practical solutions. She has adopted a type of advocacy that allows for a process that empowers families to take control of the process as they seek to reposition themselves, their children, and their financial circumstances.

Michael earned his BA in Political Science from Stony Brook University in 1985 and went on to earn his JD at Western New England College (now University!) in 1988 and was admitted to practice in New York in 1989.
Throughout his career Michael has represented both major insurance companies as well as small businesses in commercial litigation and commercial collection matters. He has litigated contractual breaches to judgment and has collected millions of dollars for his clients. Michael views the litigation process as a chess game where the strategy of anticipating the ‘next move’ of the adversary is key and the goal is, of course, to win the game – or obtain judgment on behalf the client – in as few ‘moves’ as possible.
When the litigation process takes that inevitable wrong turn, Michael has had success on the appellate level overturning poor decisions and affirming proper ones. In many instances where an appeal is ‘lost’ on the particular facts of a case, Michael’s legal arguments based upon his previously established precedents remain upheld. Among his cases are, Ormond Park Realty Inc v. Round Hill Development Corp., 699 N.Y.S.2d 116, (Appellate Division, 2nd Department, 1999) determining whether or not a real estate broker has earned his or her commission and Burlington Ins. Co. v. Casur Corp., 123 A.D.3d 965 (Appellate Division, 2nd Department, 2014) involving an insurance company’s prima facie entitlement to judgment for unpaid premiums and whether the lack of discovery is a bar to the granting of summary judgment; which remain as leading cases in those areas.
Michael has also represented clients in residential real estate transactions and in minor traffic matters.
Michael has served penance for being a lawyer for five years in the early 90’s as President of his co-op board in Great Neck, NY and more recently for several more years as a Member of his homeowners association in Melville, NY.
Paying it forward, Michael has taught various business law classes as an Adjunct Professor at Briarcliffe College and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Western New England University School of Law Alumni Association where he has served as a Moot Court Judge and mentor to law students and newly minted attorneys. Michael is also a co-founder and Board Member of The Honeysuckle Foundation for Children with Cancer, formed in 2003 supporting psycho-social and child life programs that deal with quality of life issues that families face in combating cancer.
A cautiously optimistic Jets and Mets fan, Michael spends his spare time kayaking with friends and family, fishing (and hopefully catching!) around Long Island or enjoying its North Fork wineries and restaurants.

I am an attorney at Raimondi Law, P.C. My practice focuses on commercial litigation and outside general counsel services. I primarily represent clients in commercial litigation matters involving contracts, business torts, intellectual property, construction and real estate, non-compete and trade secrets, false advertising, and professional liability and ethics, as well as in non-litigation matters involving contracts, intellectual property, and strategic planning.
I have represented clients in numerous state and federal courts and in proceedings conducted by the American Arbitration Association, FINRA, and the NARB. I have also represented clients in diverse industries such as the sports and entertainment, pharmaceutical, consumer products, legal, financial, insurance, and real estate industries. I received my Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law in 2001 and my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from Boston College in 1998.
I am admitted to practice law in the State of New York, the State of New Jersey, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern District of New York and the District of New Jersey, as well as the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits.
Tod Cagan is the founder and President of Zika Corp. Established in Long Island, New York in 2011.
As a graduate of Nassau Community College in 1997, Tod began his career in the Materials Handling industry. This lead to his understanding of supply chain logistics and cost saving measures in retail and wholesale distribution environments.
It was around 2008 that Tod was asked by his client about cost reduction in the front office and store location. That is when Tod became enamored with the Merchant Processing field, and the equipment he could provide.
Tod became an agent for Value Merchant Services, Elevon and then later, National Debit Card. After realizing that certain clients had unique requirements, Tod sought out other processing solutions and equipment from various, competitive vendors. This led to the creation of Zika Corp.
Zika Corp has become the Leader in Cost Saving Merchant Solutions for Small Businesses. We operate in all 50 states, and Canada.
A common mistake for a client is to believe that they must use the credit card processor that their bank tells them to. Keep in mind that the banks are NOT the credit card processors and that they DO receive a commission from their affiliate credit card processor.
Often times we can help to lower the rates and have the fees adjusted with your current processor. We do this at absolutely no cost to you. Many times, we pair our partner merchants with processors that are more suitable to their unique requirements.
The bottom line is the bottom line. How much is your business spending on receivables? At Zika Corp, we can turn your credit card machine into a cash register. Call, text or email today and speak directly with the owner.
Tod has a Businesses Administration degree and is an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau. Tod also has a 50 Ton Master Sea Captain License, with the US Coast Guard. Tod can be seen performing on piano and singing, all around New York.
At Zika Corp, we conduct symphonies, not just transactions. 🎼🎵🎸
